Capture before classification

Braindump accepts a note without requiring a folder, tag, or task type first. Classification and conversion are separate actions, so a user can record an item before deciding how it belongs in the plan.

Risko and Gilbert (2016) review cognitive offloading: using external action or storage to change the information-processing demands of a task. That is a design rationale for capture, not evidence that Braindump improves task initiation or completion.

How Braindump Works

After capture, a user may invoke one of three actions:

• Time detection: Identifies a possible date or time reference for review.
• Tidy: Groups selected notes using a cloud tool with a rule-based fallback.
• Thought to Action: Converts a selected note into a task proposal that can enter the scheduler.

Evidence boundary

The feature provides external storage and optional organization. Flowo has not established that it reduces rumination, improves focus, or changes ADHD symptoms.
